Working for photographers is awesome. The pressure is high & I like pressure. I like when the stakes are highest because it forces you to be on your A-game, there is no room for complacency. I also like it because it feels more like us collaborating than it does me directing someones who’s at their all time most anxious. So, when Lana & John wanted to shoot in downtown Cambridge, my imagination started to brew. I know those textured walls & colorful streets have a lot of life in them. I know that because I grew up close by and have watched it evolve over the years. Cambridge has a dicey past, there’s been race riots, violence, desolation & desperation. Now, its filled with hope, modernity with a touch of posterity, diversity & IPA’s. It’s the coolest few blocks of restaurants & bars on the Eastern Shore and that includes Rehoboth, Lewes, Berlin, Salisbury, Easton & everywhere else I have spent time. I feel pride when I go there because it’s like seeing your childhood friends all succeeding. This one was special to me and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Lana & John, I hope you guys are, too.
