There’s 3 qualities that make for a successful shoot. Tranquility, chemistry and good light. Good light is obvious, everyone knows good light when they see it. It floods a room, it warms your spirit, it inspires, it creates, and it just about dictates what your going to do next. It’s almost as if the light decides the photograph for you. Tranquility is one I’m still learning to understand, but when there’s a low hanging cloud of serenity that smothers any apprehension about sitting for portraits, we flow through situations one after another. Chemistry is a fun one. When all three of us are clicking, we uncover some things that would have otherwise remain hidden. My afternoon with Lauren & Carl had all three of these things in spades. We shots some pool, drank some whiskey, and wandered through the Marsh on Indian River. Here’s what we found….
