Earlier in the year I posted a special engagement session. It was an all black & white session on a family farm that I posted and it was all black and white simply because it called for it to be that way. I’ve often said that I love black & white photography because it has a tendency to cut through any superficial details that aren’t integral to the narrative of the moment. It’s a straight to the point style of shooting just as Morgan & Cody are straight to the point about their feelings for each other. Their wedding wasn’t about posturing or grandstanding. It was about unification and appreciation. The private ceremony was proof of that manor. It was quiet, calm, intimate and beautiful. The reception was replete with comfort food, their own ice cream, music and dancing. Their favors were some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. I’ve reigned in the black & white for reasons of posterity but I still feel the same about the wedding as I did the engagement. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day, Morgan & Cody.
