A Senior Portrait
When I was Morgans age (I hate starting sentences that way) I graduated high school with 9/11 having just happened. I thought, “No way anything bigger than this would ever happen in my lifetime”. It shaped the next 20 years of our country. Morgan will be graduating having experienced COVID-19, and the largest civil rights movement in the history of mankind. I never thought we’d see something more impactful to our nation than 9/11, but here we are again. It’s nerve-racking, but seeing kids like Morgan with their head on their shoulders, cool, calm, and collected, gives me hope. I finally got back to work this week and it felt freeing. It’ll be fine, we’ll be fine. One day at time, one step at time, we’ll all be fine. Here’s Morgan, a senior at Delmar High School, and the gangsterest of the gangster high school athletes.
