I have a sign in my office printed out on white printer paper. It says, “Have Discipline, Be consistent. Surround yourself with like-minded people. Set goals. Achieve. Repeat”. It’s acted as a compass throughout my career and anytime I’ve been at a crossroad, I’ve reverted to it and it’s directed me in what I need to do. That part about surrounding myself with like-minded people is particularly poignant here because I think that when I get to work with high achievers and globe trotters like Regina & Benny, I do my best work. I feel pressured and pushed to be better, to look deeper, to consistently compose images with intentional thought and care. All day long I kept my head down and barely looked at the back of the camera and the ride home I felt awful because I thought I had garbage. Thought it might be time to start looking for one of those fly-fishing guiding jobs in Maine because this one is going to break me. As soon as I got them uploaded, a sigh of relief. It was like realizing you left the dog out of the crate all day and coming home to the good boy having not destroyed your couch and eaten the trash. Maybe I can do this job for another year or so after all. I loved this wedding and if you scroll through, I think you’ll see why. Classy, emotional, but fun, and full of life. Here is Regina & Benny at The Covered Bridge Inn.
